University Accommodation
Most first year students live in University accommodation, either in halls of residence or in flats owened and rented out by the University. The University will designate places to students based on individual needs, such as giving priority to students under the age of 18 and those whose family homes are a great distance from the campus. Most first year students who apply to live in University accomodation will be given a place but after one year a lot of students choose to take that extra step to independent living and rent privately.
Regardless of where you live, you have certain rights that must be adhered to, both by the University and by Private Landlords. If you require further information or advice don't hesitate to contact your Students' Union.
If you want to apply to live in Unviersity accommodation for the next academic year you should contact the University's Accommodation Unit who will advise you of the application process.
