► Study Skills
One of the biggest shocks to new students, when the come to University is the realisation that no one is going to do the work for you. Also finding a suitable time and place to study can often be difficult. At the Students' Association we can give study advice. We would also encourage new students to attend the Universities essay writing sessions during the first trimester.
If you start feeling stressed from studying, exams or coursework, visit the exam stress section of the mind webpages. They give help and advice on preparing for exams, how to tell if you're getting too stressed out, and what to do if that happens. Click here to visit their page.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism is a huge focus of the University this year. Basically Plagiarism is when one person copies another persons work without giving credit. It is so easy to accidentally plagiarise. The Students' Associations officers will be going around during the first trimester to raise awareness of the issue. On top of this, we would advise all students to go to any information sessions which the University offers on Plagiarism.
