► Funding
Funding is an area which effects most students. If you are a Scottish Student you will receive funding from SAAS (Student Award Agency for Scotland) and the SLC (Student loans Company). In some cases, your funding may be delayed from both SAAS and the SLC, particularly if you had to submit your application later in the year. If you are affected by this in the first trimester, contact the Students' Association and we will do our best to speed up the process.
Another area of funding is Tax Benefits or Tax Credits. A lot of students don't realise that they may be entitled to further benefits other than the student loan. Contact us for more information or go to your nearest job centre.
The University offers discretionary funds, childcare funds and can also help you in finding trust funds to apply for. They can also offer advice on different funding options for you. For more information on what student services can offer in terms of funding, click here.
