► What SAUWS is doing
As stated in SAUWS Environmental and Ethical Policy 2010, “SAUWS are committed to considering the environmental and ethical implications of all of our actions, and are also committed to continually improving our environmental and ethical performance.”.
SAUWS also believe that an important part of improving our performance, is to identify our most significant environmental aspects and Impacts.
In response to our impacts from the purchasing of goods and services we have built sustainability into our procurement policy.

The student union also actively promotes Fairtrade throughout its activities, selling Fairtrade tea, coffee and meal deals, promoting Fairtrade fortnight and running a Fairtrade football tournament.
