Who is RON?

RON stands for Re-Open Nominations and is a fictitious candidate in all our elections. You can vote for this if you are unhappy with all the other candidates in the election and would like to see the elections run again with a new set of candidates.

You can also allocate a preference to RON. You might want to do this if you like two of the candidates (give them your 1 and 2 preferences), but none of the others. In this case, by voting RON for your 3rd preference, and giving no preference to the remaining candidates, you ensure that your vote is of no benefit to those whom you don’t support.
