► What is a Trustee?
The elected students who run SAUWS are known as the ’Board of Trustees’. This management board is made up of different positions with different remits. Each year SAUWS runs elections to allow the student body to vote in their preferred candidates to serve in these posts for the next academic year. The term of office starts on the 1st July and finishes on 30th June.
What are sabbatical positions?
Often referred to as ’sabbs’, these are elected students who work full time for SAUWS during their term in office. Anyone who is a member of SAUWS can stand, (unless restricted by legislation) whether you’re about to graduate or are midway through your course. As a team, the sabbs are responsible and held accountable for every bit of the Association and make decisions about all levels of activity. There are 5 sabbatical positions in total.
