► What do Ordinary Trustees Do?

There are 3 Ordinary Trustee positions for each of the Ayr, Hamilton and Paisley Campuses. Since these are voluntary positions and part time, their remits are less prescriptive than those of the sabbaticals. Generally, they discharge duties within the Association in the areas of welfare, entertainments, publications, representation and campaigning, as determined and agreed by the Board of Trustees. This allows individuals to get involved in specific projects that interest them and to take on work which is of an ad hoc nature. Ordinary Trustees have full voting rights at meetings of the Board and are equally accountable to the Student Councils.

Vacancies for Ordinary Trustee positions often occur during the academic year and this necessitates the holding of a bye election, usually during October / November.
