► NUS Delegations 2011

Every year SAUWS sends a delegation to each of NUS Scotland and NUS UK Annual Conferences. This is where policy is passed which sets the priorities of the National Union for the coming year. It is a requirement of NUS’ Constitution that each delegate is elected by a cross-campus ballot. All students registered at UWS are able to stand and vote in this election.

NUS Scotland Conference 2011 will take place at the Menzies Hotel, Irvine, on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th March.

 

The National Conference is at The Sage, Gateshead, Newcastle, between 12th and 14th April. 

 

If you'd like to stand for election to be part of the UWS delegations to either of these important conferences, nominations open on Monday 10th January 2011 and close at 12 noon on Friday 4th February 2011.  Delegates will be elected via cross campus ballot held online between Monday 7th February and Friday 11th February.  Completed nomination forms should be returned to the Returning Officer via staff members in any of the SAUWS Students' Unions. 

 

UPDATE:

Nominations for SAUWS Ordinary Trustee Positions will re-open between Monday 7th March and Thursday 10th March at 12 noon.
