Role Description

Volunteer activity assistants will be involved in a variety of creative, fun and practical activities, supporting children with a range of additional support needs such as Autism.

 

About this organisation

Cosgrove works across West Central Scotland with children, young people and adults and families with a range of support needs helping them to live the life they choose.

 

What could you gain?

Gain valuable knowledge and awareness of learning disabilities and the range of behaviours within the Autism Spectrum.

This volunteering opportunity will be of particular interest to those wishing to pursue careers in the teaching, health and caring professions.

Skills/Experience Required

We would like to hear from people who are sensitive to the needs of others, are patient and understanding, are good listeners, are creative and imaginative.

 

Requirements for starting the role

Interview, 2 references and a PVG check will be carried out. Please allow sufficient time (4-6) weeks for the Standard Disclosure PVG check to be processed.
