Role Description

Our Freshers Team are the students who will be there to welcome our new and returning students during freshers week.

We are looking for people from all backgrounds to represent your Union. Our volunteers are the key to making sure students enjoy a memorable freshers week.

As well as being a friendly, welcoming face for students, the role includes:

  • Speaking to students around campus and encouraging them to attend our freshers events
  • Assisting with the preparation and set up of freshers events (including the freshers fairs)
  • Assisting with the delivery of freshers fairs
  • Guiding students around campus
  • Supporting our Communications Team with capturing photos and videos of events
  • Carrying out general duties as required
  • Having fun!

We will have a Freshers Team training day where we will make sure you are confident and happy with what you will be doing in your role.

(During these two weeks we are supporting RE:FRESH, a Youth Arts Festival being held in Paisley. We are also looking for volunteers to help out with the festival and if you are interested, we can offer you a combined role as part of both volunteering teams)
