Societies

Societies are a great way for you to make friends and meet new people. They can also allow you to develop some of the skills that you have learned in your studies. Different types of Society

There are three types of society at SAUWS;

  • Course Based
  • Common Interest
  • Liberation Groups

Joining a society

To join a society you should click on their society link. All societies charge a membership fee, which helps to support their activities. You can pay this online, or in person at one of our Union buildings in Ayr, Hamilton or Paisley.
